Is this OBJ to GLB converter free?

What is the difference between OBJ and GLB?

OBJ is a plain-text mesh format that Blender, Maya, ZBrush and most 3D programs open. It has no units, and materials live in a separate .mtl file. GLB is binary glTF, the standard for 3D on the web, in AR and in game engines. It is Y up and in metres, and keeps textures inside the file. AI 3D generators usually output GLB.

Are colours and textures kept?

No. The converter writes the shape only. Re-apply materials in your 3D program if you need them.

Why does my model stand differently?

OBJ models point their top along Y; the converter turns them so the top points up (Z) as printers expect. If it is lying down, switch the up axis or turn it 90°.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The model is read and converted in your browser and never leaves your device.
