ARW to JPG FAQ
What is an ARW file?
ARW is Sony's RAW format for Alpha, RX and other cameras. It holds the unprocessed sensor data, so most apps and websites can't open it.
Are compressed ARW files supported?
Yes. Compressed and uncompressed ARW files open, and so do older Sony SR2 and SRF files.
Will the colours match my camera's JPG?
They are close: the page uses the white balance set in the camera and converts to sRGB. Sony's creative styles are not applied.
Can I convert many ARW files at once?
Yes. Add up to 100 files. They are converted one after another and downloaded together in a ZIP.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Photos are read and converted on your own device and never leave it.
