How do I crop to an exact shape such as 16:9 or 1:1?

Pick the shape in the list. The crop box keeps that shape while you move and resize it. Choose Free to crop to any shape.

How do I make a circle crop?

Switch on circle crop. The box becomes a circle and everything outside it turns transparent. Save as PNG or WebP to keep the transparency.

Can I rotate or flip the photo?

Yes. Turn it left or right in 90-degree steps and flip it horizontally or vertically before you crop.

Does cropping reduce quality?

The crop keeps the original pixels, so the picture is as sharp as the part you selected. PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP use a quality slider, so a high setting looks the same as the original.

Which formats can I open and save?

You can open JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and other formats your browser can show. You can save PNG, JPG or WebP. Animated images are cropped from their first frame.
