Press N to start note input, choose a note value with 1–7 (5 is a quarter note), then type the note names A to G. Use the up and down arrows to move a note, # and - for sharps and flats, R for a rest and T to tie notes. Press ? to see every shortcut.
Yes. Open MusicXML (.musicxml, .xml or compressed .mxl) and MIDI files. MIDI notes are lined up to the note values you choose, and you can let it find triplets and split piano parts onto two staves.

Yes. Add as many instruments as you need: piano and organ get a grand staff, choirs can use four staves, and transposing instruments such as the clarinet and trumpet in B♭ are written at their own pitch and sound right in playback.
Select the first note and press L, then type each syllable: space moves to the next note and a hyphen splits a word. You can also paste a whole line of lyrics in the Text tab.
No. This tool is for writing and editing notation. Music is entered by keyboard, mouse, the on-screen piano or a MIDI keyboard, or opened from MusicXML and MIDI files.
They are saved automatically in this browser and listed under My scores. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them, so download a project or MusicXML file to keep a copy.
