If the file’s tags name an AI music generator or carry an AI label, you see it right away.
The detector listens to up to three minutes and gives an AI-generated likelihood, a verdict and how confident it is.
Many AI music services label their downloads: a comment such as “made with Suno”, an AI content label, or Content Credentials (C2PA). When a label is there, it is the clearest answer.
AI music generators build sound with neural decoders that leave faint, regularly spaced peaks in the spectrum. The detector measures them in your browser and estimates how likely the song is AI-generated.
When the file says it was made with AI, that leads the result. When it says nothing, the estimate is all there is, so read its confidence level too.
No detector can tell for certain how a song was made. This one gives an estimate, and estimates can be wrong both ways: real recordings marked as AI, and AI songs marked as real.
Missing tags prove nothing either: most streaming sites, social apps and converters remove them.

No. Both checks run in your browser and the audio never leaves your device.
It gets most clear-cut cases right, but it is an estimate and can be wrong. Treat a “possibly AI-generated” result as uncertain, and never use it as the only proof that someone used AI.
The detector was trained on music from many current generators, including Suno, ElevenLabs Music, Lyria, MiniMax Music and Mureka. The metadata check also recognises tags from Udio, Stable Audio, Riffusion, AIVA, Boomy, Soundraw, Beatoven.ai, Mubert and others. Songs from generators released after the detector may be missed.
Most streaming services, social networks and audio converters remove tags, so their absence tells you nothing about whether AI was used.
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC and OGG/Opus audio, and videos such as MP4 when your browser can play their sound, up to 200 MB. The first three minutes are analyzed; use at least 10 seconds of music for best results.
Only when the file’s tags or Content Credentials name the generator. The estimate itself only says how likely the song is to be AI-generated.
Some production and mastering tools, heavy processing and certain encoders can leave similar traces in the spectrum. That is why the result is an estimate with a confidence level, not a verdict about anyone.
