Drag on the color wheel, type or paste any color code, use the eyedropper, or open a photo and click a pixel.
Adjust it with RGB, HSL, HSV, OKLCH or CMYK sliders and copy the value you need with one click.
Make harmonies or a shade scale, check contrast and color blindness, then copy or download the code for your project.
A few habits that make palettes easier to use and easier to read.
Body text needs at least 4.5:1 against its background for WCAG AA, large text 3:1. The checker suggests the nearest color that passes.
OKLCH lightness matches what eyes see, so a scale made in OKLCH steps evenly from light to dark without muddy middles.
Red and green look alike to many people. Preview your palette in the color-blindness tab and add labels or icons where meaning matters.
Photos are noisy up close. A 3×3 or 5×5 sample gives the color you see rather than a single stray pixel.
Open a photo you like and extract 5 to 8 colors. K-means finds the main colors; median cut keeps small accents.
Print colors depend on paper and press. Use the CMYK value as a starting point and check it with your printer’s profile.

Open the Image tab, choose a photo or screenshot (or paste one), then click or tap any pixel. A magnifier shows exactly which pixel you are on, and you can average a 3×3 to 11×11 area. The picture is read in your browser and stays on your device.
Yes, in browsers that support the eyedropper (Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers on desktop). Click Eyedropper and then any pixel on your screen, even outside the browser window. In other browsers, take a screenshot and paste it into the Image tab.
Type or paste the HEX code into the color field and the RGB value appears below, ready to copy. To convert many colors at once, paste one per line into the Convert tab and choose the output format.
HEX (3, 4, 6 and 8 digits), RGB, HSL, HSV/HSB, HWB, OKLCH, OKLab and CMYK, plus all CSS color names. You can paste values with or without the function name, for example “255, 87, 51”.
OKLCH describes a color by perceived lightness, chroma (colorfulness) and hue. Equal steps look equal, so it is ideal for shade scales and consistent palettes, and it is supported in modern CSS as oklch().
It calculates the WCAG 2 contrast ratio between text and background and shows whether it passes AA and AAA for normal and large text and for interface elements. It also shows the APCA lightness contrast (Lc) from the WCAG 3 draft and suggests the closest passing color.
Pick a base color, then use Harmonies for complementary, triadic and other schemes, or Shades for tints, shades and a 50–950 scale. You can also extract a palette from a photo. Save favorites and export them as code.
Yes. The Export tab writes your palette as CSS variables, SCSS, Tailwind v4 @theme or a v3 config, SwiftUI, UIKit, Android colors.xml, Jetpack Compose, JSON, a GIMP palette or a plain hex list. Copy it or download the file.
