Monthly Auto-Recharge Limit

Monthly Auto-Recharge Limit

In Top Up → Auto top-up, turn on Set a monthly limit to reveal the monthly limit input in USD. This switch is off by default. Leave it off for unlimited automatic recharges, or turn it off to immediately remove an existing limit. Existing organizations have no limit until one is set.

Turning the switch on reveals an empty amount field without applying a limit. Enter an amount and select Confirm limit to apply it. An empty field cannot be confirmed. To change an existing limit, edit the amount and confirm again. If removing the limit fails, the switch returns to its previous state and an error is shown.

The monthly limit saves independently. Save settings updates only the balance threshold and recharge amount. The minimum monthly limit is based on the saved recharge amount, not unsaved edits.

The minimum is $10 and at least your single recharge amount, whichever is higher. Amounts support up to two decimal places, with a maximum of $100,000,000.

What counts

  • Only automatic credit purchases count, using the amount actually paid.
  • Manual top-ups, promotional bonuses, and compensation credits do not count.
  • Refunds do not restore the automatic recharge allowance.
  • Pending payments hold their amount until their outcome is confirmed. A timeout does not mean a payment failed.

This is not a usage or consumption limit. You can continue using existing credits or top up manually after automatic recharges pause.

When automatic recharges pause

A new recharge is allowed only if the remaining monthly allowance covers the entire configured recharge amount. We do not automatically reduce that amount.

For example, with a $100 monthly limit and $30 per recharge, three successful recharges use $90. The remaining $10 cannot cover another $30 recharge, so automatic recharges pause.

You can increase the monthly limit or top up manually. Pausing does not turn off your saved auto-recharge preference. Changing settings or disabling and re-enabling auto-recharge does not reset the amount already used. Previously authorized payments may still complete after settings change.

Monthly reset

The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. A recharge belongs to the month in which it was initiated, even if payment confirmation arrives later. A payment still being resolved across a month boundary must be reconciled before another automatic recharge starts.

Automatic purchases already made in the current month count when you first set a limit. Older purchases made before this feature use the recorded recharge month.

Your bank’s posting date may differ from the recharge’s allowance month. This limit does not control when your bank posts a transaction.

Organization permissions

The limit is shared by the organization, not by individual members or API keys. Members who can manage payment methods can change it. Viewing or editing the limit does not alter saved cards or their priority.
