How big a CSV can it open?

There is no limit set by us; your device’s memory decides. On our test computer a 150 MB CSV (1 million rows) opened in about 3 seconds and a 1.2 GB CSV (8 million rows) in about 15. Phones and older laptops have less memory and are slower.

Is my CSV uploaded?

No. The file is read and queried in your browser tab and never leaves your device.

Which separators work?

Commas, semicolons, tabs and pipes are detected, as are quoted fields, a header row and column types (numbers, dates, true/false).

Why not just use a spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets stop at 1,048,576 rows and slow down well before that. This viewer pages through the rows instead of loading every cell into the page.
