Tips for a clean PDF

Columns cut off?

Choose “Fit all columns on one page”, or switch to landscape.

Header on every page

Use “Repeat rows at top” to print the first rows of the sheet on every page, as Excel’s Print Titles do.

Only part of a sheet

Choose Range and type the cells, such as A1:F40. Separate several ranges with commas.

The number is wider than its column, as in the spreadsheet itself. Widen the column in your spreadsheet app, or print at a larger scale.

How do I fit an Excel sheet on one page?

Under Scaling, choose “Fit all columns on one page” to keep every column on the page width, or “Fit sheet on one page” to shrink the whole sheet onto a single page.

Can I convert only some sheets?

Yes. Tick the sheets you want. All the chosen sheets go into one PDF, in workbook order. Hidden sheets are left out unless you tick them.

Does it keep my print area and page setup?

Yes. The print area, print titles, paper size, orientation, margins, scaling, page breaks, gridlines and header and footer saved in the file are used. Each can be changed before you download.

Which files can I convert?

Excel workbooks (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls), OpenDocument spreadsheets (.ods) and CSV files. Formatting comes through most completely from .xlsx files.

Are charts included?

Pictures are. Charts are not drawn yet; they are marked with a box, and the converter tells you when a sheet has one.

Can I select and search the text in the PDF?
