Change Photo Background FAQ

How do I change the background of a photo?

Add the photo, press the button to cut out the subject, then click any background in the gallery. The preview updates instantly, and you can download the result in full size.

Can I use my own picture as the new background?

Yes. Choose Your own picture and pick any photo from your device. It fills the canvas behind the subject, and you can move and resize the subject to fit the scene.

Which backgrounds are included?

Clean studio colors, soft gradients and scenes such as a gray or warm studio, a wooden table, marble, a sunset, a beach, mountains, a meadow, city lights and bokeh, plus any color and a blurred version of the original.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark, downloads are full size, and you can change backgrounds on a whole batch at once.
