How Do I Generate Multiple AI Video Variations via API?

Overview

Generate multiple AI video variations by submitting separate, labeled jobs for the same brief and changing one meaningful variable at a time. Treat every variant as its own task with a prediction ID and review result. On WaveSpeedAI, current documentation describes individual task submission and concurrent calls within account limits, not a single dedicated batch-submission endpoint.

Pick the variable before rendering: opening camera movement, product background, call-to-action space or an approved source frame. Keep the rest of the prompt and route settings stable so reviewers can tell why one clip works better. If the selected image-to-video route takes a reference image, use the same still across motion variants; if the goal is concept exploration, use a text-to-video route and record the prompt changes. Store each job’s inputs, model route, status, charge and final asset under one campaign ID.

Queue submissions to respect current concurrency limits. Use the result API or a supported webhook to complete each job, and handle a failed variation independently. Do not blindly retry an uncertain POST; a task may already have been accepted. Once files arrive, compare approved-output rate and distinct creative value rather than selecting the most visually dramatic clip by default.

Stop generating when new variants no longer change the decision. This keeps API cost and reviewer fatigue visible while preserving a reproducible trail of the creative test.
