Why convert PNG to JPG?

JPG is the most widely accepted image format and is much smaller for photos and detailed screenshots, which makes images faster to email, upload and share.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent parts of a PNG are filled with clean white. For a transparent result, keep PNG or choose WebP.

How much smaller will my files be?

Photos and photo-like screenshots often shrink to a fifth of their PNG size or less at 90% quality. Each image shows its size before and after, so you can compare.

Will the pixel size change?
