150 DPI is sharp on screens and fine for most uses. Choose 300 DPI for printing or zooming into small text, and 72 DPI for small previews. An A4 page is 1240 × 1754 pixels at 150 DPI and 2480 × 3508 at 300 DPI. You can also set an exact width in pixels.
JPG gives small files for pages with photos. PNG keeps text and line art perfectly crisp and can have a transparent background. WebP is smaller than both at the same quality, but older software may not open it.
