How thick should a lithophane be?

About 0.8 mm at the thinnest and 3 mm at the thickest for white PLA. Thicker plates give more contrast but need a brighter light.

Which filament and print settings work best?

Plain white PLA, printed standing upright, 100% infill, 0.1–0.12 mm layers and a 0.4 mm nozzle. Slow outer walls give the smoothest picture.

Can I make a curved lithophane or a lamp?

This maker makes flat plates with an optional frame. Stand one in front of an LED strip or a tea light, or glue four into a box for a lamp.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The lithophane is made in your browser; the photo never leaves your device.
