Why do the middles of letters fall out?

Letters like O, A and e have islands that are separate pieces once cut. Use a stencil font, which bridges them to the letter, or a joined script font, where the whole word is one piece.

Which fonts can I use?

Archivo Black, Allerta Stencil, Stardos Stencil, Pacifico and Great Vibes, all under the SIL Open Font License, so the cut pieces can be sold.

Can I convert my own logo or lettering?
