PDF DPI Checker FAQ

What is the difference between DPI and PPI?

For images in a PDF they mean the same thing here: how many image pixels fall on one inch of the printed page at the size the image is placed.

What resolution do I need?

Around 300 ppi for photos in offset print, 150 to 250 for digital print, less for posters seen from a distance, and much more (600 ppi or above) for 1-bit line art.

Can it fix low-resolution images?

No tool can add real detail. Place the image smaller or replace it with a larger original.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is checked in your browser and never leaves your device.
