PDF Bleed Checker FAQ

What is bleed?

Extra artwork beyond the trim line, usually 3 mm (0.125 in), so that no white edge shows when the paper is cut slightly off.

How does it know where the artwork reaches the edge?

It measures where everything visible on the page is drawn, ignoring white areas and what is clipped away, and compares it with the trim.

Can it add bleed?

Yes. It can enlarge the page around the trim and fill the new strip by mirroring the artwork at the edge, or leave it white. Real bleed from your design file is still best.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is checked and fixed in your browser.
