What are the rules of Conway's Game of Life?

A dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes alive; a live cell with two or three live neighbours stays alive; every other cell dies or stays dead. That is the rule B3/S23.

What is a glider gun?

A pattern that keeps producing gliders forever. The Gosper glider gun, found in 1970, was the first known pattern that grows without limit.
