What metadata does a PDF hold?

Document properties like title, author, subject, keywords, the creating app and dates, and often an XMP packet with the same and more. Files can also carry attachments, scripts, hidden layers, comments, bookmarks and page thumbnails.

Is everything removed for good?

Yes. The file is rewritten with only what is still used, so earlier versions saved inside it and removed objects don’t stay behind.

Is it free and private?

Yes. It’s free with no sign-up, and the PDF is cleaned in your browser without being uploaded.

Will the pages look the same?

Yes. Removing metadata doesn’t change the pages. Removing comments or form fields takes them off the pages; flatten form fields first to keep how they look.
