Compare Images · FAQ

How do I compare two images online?

Add image A and image B, then choose a view: slider, side by side, overlay, difference or blink. Everything runs in your browser.

How do I find the difference between two images?

Choose the Difference view. Brighter colors mark pixels that changed more; raise the amplification to see faint changes and the threshold to ignore tiny ones. The panel shows the share of changed pixels.

What do PSNR and SSIM mean?

PSNR is the signal-to-noise ratio in decibels; higher means the images are closer, and identical images show infinity. SSIM measures structural similarity from 0 to 1, where 1 means identical. Open “How the numbers are measured” for the exact definitions.

What if the images are different sizes?

You get a warning. By default B is stretched to the size of A. You can instead align B at the top-left or center without scaling; the numbers then cover only the area both images share.

Can I make a before and after slider image?

Use the Slider view and download the current view as a PNG. It is a still picture of the slider at its current position, not an interactive widget.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Both images are decoded and compared in your browser and never leave your device.
