How Can Developers Access Qwen Image API?

Overview

Developers can access Qwen Image through WaveSpeedAI in four steps: create a WaveSpeedAI API key, choose its current Qwen Image text-to-image route, POST a valid prompt using that route’s input schema, then save the prediction ID and retrieve the image from the result API. This is a WaveSpeedAI path, not a universal Qwen endpoint or payload.

Use the selected model page’s route identifier as the POST path and send the key as a bearer credential from your server. Record the route and prediction ID alongside your local job so the UI can show pending, completed or failed. Test that full cycle with one small, rights-cleared prompt before adding customer traffic. If the product needs editing from an existing image, choose an edit route separately; do not add an unsupported image field to this text-to-image request.

Check the live model page for current accepted sizes, optional settings, price and account eligibility. These can change independently of the general API quickstart. Review output quality on your own language, typography and composition tests; the model name alone cannot certify production fit.

Once the basic request succeeds, add result handling and asset storage. An app that only sends prompts but loses completed images is not an API integration users can rely on.

Keep the API key outside browser and mobile code, validate user input before forwarding it, and impose your own request limits. Log enough route, status and timing data to diagnose failures without storing sensitive prompt content longer than your product requires.

Rotate exposed credentials and investigate the associated request history promptly.
