What Are the Best Novita AI Alternatives for Image and Video APIs?

Overview

WaveSpeedAI and Runware are Novita AI alternatives to check when a video brief outgrows the specific Novita route your app uses. Novita’s cited route is text-to-video. If the new brief requires motion from an approved product still, the question is whether that route accepts a reference image, not whether Novita as a whole lacks image-to-video. Check its current catalog before deciding to move.

Keep the old and new creative tasks separate. For a text-only concept clip, compare the existing Novita request with a currently documented text-input route on each candidate. For a product clip, first find a route whose live schema accepts the approved still; a text-to-video route is not an equivalent substitute. WaveSpeedAI documents model-specific task submission, while Runware publishes video API materials. Neither general document establishes that a particular variant has your required image field, so verify the exact route before running any quality test.

Once the input contract matches, score whether the product remains recognizable throughout the clip, whether motion suits the ad and how many outputs pass review. Keep costs and job failures in the test record, but do not claim a price or speed advantage from the provider names. If the source still has licensing restrictions, a different API does not remove them.

The answer may be a split workflow: retain the Novita text route for concept clips and add a separate image-led route only for approved product footage. Replace the existing integration only if the measured job warrants it.
