Is MiniMax H3 Available on Hugging Face?

Not as of early August 2026. Despite being announced on July 31, 2026 as an open-weight model, MiniMax H3 has no Hugging Face repository or model card yet — the weights have not been released. MiniMax said they would open “in the coming days,” so this is expected to change, but at the moment there is nothing to download. Because of that, the only way to use H3 today is through a hosted API, not local weights from Hugging Face. Community pages discussing the model exist, but a discussion post is not an official released checkpoint, so treat anything you find as commentary until the official repo appears.

When the weights do land on Hugging Face, check three things on the model card before building on them: whether the files are actually published, the format, and — most importantly — the license text, since MiniMax’s planned Community License carries commercial conditions.

For now, plan around the API, and re-check the official MiniMax organization page on Hugging Face for the weight release rather than relying on a mirror or a rumor.
