Does Seedance 2.5 Support Webhooks?

Overview

Do not assume Seedance 2.5 webhook support unless the current WaveSpeedAI documentation for your exact route and account states it. The verified baseline in this batch is the prediction pattern: submit a job, receive a prediction id, then poll the result endpoint until the task reaches a terminal state.

For production, build polling first even if callbacks are later available. Polling gives you a fallback when a webhook delivery fails, a signature check is misconfigured, or an event is delayed. Store the prediction id and status transitions so your app can recover without asking the user to regenerate.

If webhooks are available, treat them as a notification layer, not the sole source of truth. Verify signatures, make handlers idempotent, fetch the final result from the provider when needed, and ignore duplicate events that refer to a job already completed.

WaveSpeedAI’s async job model works well with either approach as long as your system owns the job state. Avoid promising webhook support in public docs until your team has confirmed it on the exact Seedance 2.5 endpoint you deploy.
