FLUX pricing has to name a route. As checked on September 29, 2026, WaveSpeedAI’s FLUX.2 Flex Edit documentation lists $0.12 per edited image: at that listed rate, 100 charged edits would be $12 before rework or other workflow costs. This is not the price of every FLUX model or a guaranteed final bill; check the current Run estimate and final charge for the chosen settings.

Budget generation and editing as separate work types. A text-to-image request creates a new composition, while an edit request processes an existing image with instructions or references. FLUX.2 Flex Edit is one documented edit route, but its live estimate should not be carried over to other FLUX models or treated as a future invoice. Record the model ID, requested output count, size and any other priced input in your cost log.

Then test the creative yield. A cheaper request can cost more per usable product image if it regularly changes packaging, distorts text or needs manual repair. Divide total charges for the test set by the images that pass your actual delivery criteria. Keep failed tasks and rejected-but-valid images separate in the ledger.

For planning, use a current quote for representative inputs and rerun the quote when you change route or output specification. That produces a defensible budget without pretending a published headline rate covers every FLUX workload.
