Does Seedance 2.5 Add a Watermark?

Overview

Do not assume Seedance 2.5 always adds a watermark or never adds one. Watermark behavior can depend on the current WaveSpeedAI route, product surface, account state, output type, and provider terms. The only safe production answer is to test the exact route you plan to use and review the current model card.

This matters most when outputs go into ads, app templates, client deliverables, or resale workflows. A watermark can make an otherwise good clip unusable. The absence of a visible watermark also does not settle licensing; rights and attribution rules may still apply.

Create a simple acceptance check. Generate a representative clip, inspect the output at the target resolution, document whether any watermark appears, and save the route, date, account type, and settings. Repeat that check before large launches because provider behavior can change.
