Remove Watermark from Photo Online Free
The safest first step is to find the original unwatermarked photo or re-export your own project. If that is unavailable and you have permission to edit the image, WaveSpeed’s free Remove Watermark from Image page is a direct route for brushing out a small mark on an owned photo. Its separate automatic Image Watermark Remover model is usage-based.

Try this workflow
Start with the original photo or a clean export of your own project.
If a mark remains, brush it with a small margin and run Erase in the free image tool.
Hold Compare, check nearby lettering and edges, then download the full-size copy.
Is the online free version watermark-free on export?
- Yes for the free image-watermark tool: its page states no account, no added watermark and no limit on images.
- The free eraser gives you a brush rather than automatic watermark recognition. Paint across the mark and a narrow margin, run Erase, then undo or paint again if a border remains.
Does the 50 MB limit cap the download?
- No. WaveSpeed's free image page lists 50 MB as the maximum input file size and describes a full-size download. It does not call 50 MB an exported file-size ceiling or a paid-upgrade trigger. Check the downloaded pixel dimensions separately from repair quality.
Check the format path before you edit
The official free image tool accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC files up to 50 MB. Its listed downloads are PNG, JPG and WebP, and the page says the edit stays in the browser without an upload. Input support does not mean the same format is available on output. The free brush is separate from WaveSpeed's automatic image model, which has its own account and billing flow.
| Starting file | Before pressing Erase | After download |
|---|---|---|
| HEIC phone photo | Keep the original HEIC and check that it opens | Choose an available output format; verify dimensions and color |
| PNG product image with small lettering | Brush the mark with a narrow margin | Verify the lettering and transparent or flat areas as needed |
| AVIF web asset | Note the intended publishing format | Confirm your CMS accepts the downloaded PNG, JPG or WebP |
Consider an owned product photo with a date stamp beside a printed ingredient label. Brush only the stamp, hold Compare and inspect every label character at 100% zoom. If the fill changes a required word or invents part of the package edge, undo and reduce the selection or return to the clean source. A full-size download preserves dimensions, but it does not prove concealed details were recovered faithfully. Save the source alongside the edited file for later review.
Previewing repaired areas before export
- Zoom into existing hair, lettering, straight edges and repeating patterns after repair; an opaque mark may hide detail that cannot be recovered faithfully.
- For a product photo, inspect an existing packaging edge, small label and nearby shadow. Do not add a ruler or text to the source just for this check.
What if the downloaded format differs from the source?
- Keep the original HEIC or AVIF file. The free tool lists PNG, JPG and WebP downloads, so choose a format your destination app accepts and check the saved file's pixel dimensions and appearance.
- A full-size file can still contain invented texture or changed text. If the repair damages a required label or edge, undo and use a tighter brush or return to a clean original; do not treat format or dimensions as a quality guarantee.
Next step: Brush the mark in the free image-watermark tool, compare the edited area and download a checked copy. Use the paid model only if its automatic workflow suits your image.
