AI Remove Watermark from Image

For an owned image, WaveSpeed offers a free browser tool that fills the region you brush over and a separately billed Image Watermark Remover model that detects text and logos automatically. Choose manual brush control for a small mark or test the model when detection and repeat API calls matter.

Try the tool: Open the free image watermark remover.

CLEANUP WORKFLOW
01

Choose an owned still with a mark over smooth and textured pixels.

02

Brush narrowly in the free tool, or choose the separately billed model for automatic detection.

03

For the free brush hold Compare; for the model inspect its completed result. Check either downloaded file at full size.

Section 01

Does the AI repair blend naturally with the background?

  • A natural blend depends on the surrounding information. A small translucent mark over even texture is easier to assess than a large opaque logo over a face.
  • Automatic watermark detection should be tested for false removals as well as missed marks.
Section 02

Can you compare before and after before downloading?

  • The free tool lets you hold Compare after erasing; the model page displays a completed result after a run.
Section 03

Check both missed marks and accidental deletions

WaveSpeed’s free image eraser uses a manual brush, offers a hold-to-compare view, and keeps the file on the device. The separate Image Watermark Remover model detects text or logo marks automatically through a billed model or API. The first route gives direct mask control; the second can be useful when detection must be repeated. Neither source guarantees that every mark will be found or that ordinary content will be untouched.

On an image you own, define three review regions before editing: the watermark itself, a nearby object with similar color or lettering, and a clean control area far from the mark. After the free brush route, check whether any watermark strokes remain and whether the brush removed background detail beyond the target. After an automatic model run, inspect the same regions for a missed mark and for an ordinary label, sign or logo mistakenly erased. Save the original and the edited copy separately.

For example, a dated product mockup could have a translucent corner stamp and a legitimate printed brand name on the package. The stamp is the intended target; the package name is a false-positive sentinel. If the name changes, reject the result even if the corner looks clean. This is a proposed check, not a reported test outcome.

Section 04

Watermark position, background texture, and false removals

Use a failure-specific response after opening the saved still image:

Observed resultNext action
A corner mark remains after automatic detectionTry a smaller manual selection in the free browser brush, then check the saved edge.
The automatic result also removed legitimate package textReject that output; use a narrower permitted mask or the clean source. Do not label real product text a watermark.
An opaque mark covered a serial number or a faceAsk for an unmarked original when exact identity matters; estimated pixels cannot prove the hidden detail.
The fill repeats a pattern or bends a straight lineCompare the source at 100% and rework only the affected region.

The automatic image model changes how marks are located; it does not remove the need to check false positives and unrecoverable detail.

Section 05

Checking image output formats and repairs

  • For the free brush, hold Compare after erasing and download PNG, JPG or WebP. For the billed automatic model, inspect its completed preview and JPEG, PNG or WebP result.
  • In either route, check the saved still image at full size.

Next step: For a small owned mark, try the free image-watermark tool; for automatic detection, test the billed image model. Review the actual download before repeating.
